Commissioned by Olympic Games Organizing Committee as one in a series of posters promoting the 1976 games and designed by Yvon Laroche and Raymond Bellemare, the Olympic Stadium is printed on a metallic silver background with the rainbow band colour scheme.
Designed by French architect Roger Taillibert, the Olympic Stadium (nicknamed ‘The Big O’) was not completed until long after the Games, and is widely considered both an icon of the city and a huge white elephant.
From the original print run, this vintage poster is matted and framed in white with an outside frame dimension of 11 1/4 x 14 3/4.
